Game Info Apache: Air Assault is a new combat flight simulation game based on the Apache AH-64D Longbow attack helicopter. The player takes on the role of three distinct Apache crews that each deal with what at first appears to be localized enemy activity, but eventually reveals itself to be part of the larger plan. The gameplay intercuts back and forth between the three crews as the action and stakes escalate. Apache: Air Assault features 16 multi-stage missions involving air and ground strike operations off the coast of Africa, the mountains of the Middle East and the jungles of Central America, each meticulously created using high resolution map data from real-world satellite photography. Apache helicopters are some of the most sophisticated combat aircraft on the planet — the player gets to fly multiple variations of them, each with their own extreme firepower and highly-detailed damage modeling. Description:Apache Longbow Assault puts you in the cockpit of the U.S. Army Apache attack helicopters known, in this case the advanced AH-64D Longbow variant. The Longbow significantly improves the control system radar fire, and the survival of the original Apache to create an even more lethal helicopter. The Longbow is fast, highly maneuverable, heavily armored. The beauty of Apache Longbow Assault is that it lets you feel all that power right away. Once you take, you know you have a brutally powerful helicopter at your disposal. Admittedly, hardcore sim fans will likely be disappointed with the way the game simplifies the radar system, against the measures. However, Apache Longbow Assault lets you enjoy yourself right away instead of having your work through a long learning phase where you're always wondering which buttons to push.
In any case, you will have the chance to enjoy the famous Longbow speed and maneuverability, thanks to the physical modeling credible. You will also have to blow air and ground targets Stinger missiles and rockets Hydra. You will have to throw against measures, to pass a night vision, and launch flares to help the ground forces. You can control everything with the keyboard, although quite a handful, even with the controls simplified and streamlined physical option. Ideally you'll want to use a joystick with three buttons, a throttle and a twist rudder function. Then you can control everything with ease, you only reach for the keyboard from time to time or to catch the mouse It is also unfortunate that there is no way to adjust the sensitivity of the controller, only the dead zone. Apache Longbow Assault offers only one mode of play: a linear, rigid scripted campaign. You will not find instant action mode or multiplayer options, including the game just to beg. There is no tutorial or, if the missions at least brief to introduce some of its capabilities of Apache as you go. Despite these shortcomings, the campaign features 30 missions that you can attack in three difficulty levels. You'll fly at different times of the day, in different types of weather, and varied terrain, forested mountains to sea ice to sandy beaches.
Help ground forces, convoy escorts of attack, rescue help, to defend the cities, and much more by going head-to-head with enemies helicopters, ground vehicles, AA, and ships. While most missions are fun, many are too short, lasting only three or four minutes. The campaign as a whole also suffers from a bare presentation. You do not get a voice-over or scenes, some of the boring text briefings before each mission. You basically flying missions alone and when you are joined by other drivers, you have never heard any talk radio, so it does not even feel like they are there. The campaign simply does not generate enough emotional involvement or make you feel that you are one of the largest military operations. These weaknesses of the remains true diversity of missions, making it feel as if you are a solo driver is raking a pile of generic enemies over and over. The presentation of the campaign can be bland, but the graphics on a mission offer many colors.
It is true that cities look much too small, and buildings often seem dull and simple. Field gives you an overall sense of the scope, however, and some attractive features texturing. Against atmospheric and effects look especially nice, from flickering flares brightening the night sky by the light of the rising sun, a helicopter explodes in a fireball and raining debris after a missile fell on her. You'll get to see all the action from five cameras inside and outside. The Apache itself is finely detailed interior and exterior, while the control panels are just for show, you can not actually click on them as in some flight simulators.
