The ViciBox Server preload ISO automatically installs the operating system to a single detected hard-drive upon boot. It is adequate for installing to server with only a single hard-drive or to servers with a hardware RAID controller. It is the easiest OS installation option.

How To Install Vicidial On Windows Server

Download ViciBox Server Preload ISO in this LINK.

Burn ISO to CD and boot from the disk

At the boot screen, select “Install ViciBox v.6.0” and press ENTER.

If the hard drive drive shown is correct drive to install to then select “Yes” and press ENTER to continue. The installer will install to the first hard-drive it finds. Make sure this is the correct hard-drive. If not, it may be necessary to disconnect all hard-drives except the intended OS drive.

Accept the Licence Agreement and Proceed with the installation.

After the installation, The default username is root and the password is vicidial

Once logged in, change the password by issuing the passwd command.

Reboot the server by issuing the reboot command and remove the installer USB or CD/DVD that was used.

Login as root with your new password and edit the Network Settings by issuing the yast lan command.

Once you are done with your network settings, verify the settings by issuing ifconfig command and try to ping google.com

Once you are done with your Network Settings, Update the OpenSuSE by issuing the zypper up -ycommand.

Once the update is done, Reboot the server by issuing the reboot command.

Login as root and configure the Time Zone by issuing the yast timezone command.

Now its time for Vicidial Installation by issuing vicibox-express command.

Once the installation is done, Reboot the server and you’re done with the Vicidial installation.

From a web browser on a workstation, type in the IP Address of your server.

The default administrative user is ‘6666‘ and password ‘1234‘. Please refer to the ViciDial Manual for information on initially logging in and configuring ViciDial from the web interface.
